Elevating lululemon’s digital commerce experience

Process involved:

Journey Mapping, Experience Design, Product Design, Prototyping, System Design

As part of the global digital platform refresh, we partnered with the lululemon team to elevate the brand across its ecommerce experience. Our challenge was to translate creative concepts into consistent, buildable patterns that could scale across regions with different languages, content structures, and merchandising needs—without compromising the experience.

I worked closely with Product and Engineering to formalize interaction flows, define UI behaviors, and account for edge cases and state variations. This meant aligning creative intent with technical requirements — ensuring patterns were usable, accessible, and scalable before development began.

By grounding decisions in behavior and real content, we established:

  • Consistent navigation, footer, and cart patterns implemented across 3 global markets (NA + 2 international).

  • Patterns implemented across 3 core surfaces: Homepage, Story Pages, and Mega Nav

  • Updated Home and Story page structures built on reusable modules.

  • Scalable content systems that supported regional variation without structural redesign.

  • Reduced design-to-dev handoff ambiguity, contributing to an estimated ~30% reduction in back-and-forth during sprint cycles.

  • Built content models supporting 3+ languages and dynamic content length variations without layout breakage.

The result was a system teams could confidently build from — reducing ambiguity during development, supporting regional flexibility, and creating a stable foundation for future growth.
