Transforming McDonald’s mobile app—driving engagement, loyalty, and growth across every digital touchpoint.
Over the course of three years, I served as Design Lead for McDonald’s Global Mobile Application—helping evolve its digital ecosystem and strengthen engagement across every touchpoint. Partnering with cross-functional teams, I led design efforts for key in-app experiences and campaigns including MyMcDonald’s Rewards, Ready-on-Arrival, and Celebrity Trays.
Through thoughtful design flows, a refreshed visual language, and clear, unified messaging, we created a cohesive experience across app, web, email, and paid media. This transformation not only brought renewed excitement to McDonald’s digital presence but also delivered measurable impact—driving a 5× lift in transactions, 4× revenue growth among engaged users, and making McDonald’s the most downloaded QSR app for four consecutive months.
Loyalty Integration
As part of McDonald’s broader push to accelerate digital acquisition and engagement, I led the design of the in-app loyalty experience—creating a seamless journey that showcased program benefits, drove adoption, and fostered long-term customer loyalty.
Outcomes:
- 5X lift in transactions
- 4X revenue for customers receiving communications
- 81,000 new app downloads from McDonalds.com loyalty pages
- 49% over paid registrations goal
- 96,000 digital customer growth over YoY target
