Transforming McDonald’s mobile app—driving engagement, loyalty, and growth across every digital touchpoint.

From 2020 to 2021, I served as Design Lead for McDonald’s Global Mobile App, helping evolve its digital ecosystem. I partnered with cross-functional teams to design key product experiences including MyMcDonald’s Rewards and Ready-on-Arrival.

Through thoughtful design flows, a refreshed visual language, and clear, unified messaging, we created a cohesive experience across app, web, email, and paid media. This transformation not only brought renewed excitement to McDonald’s digital presence but also delivered measurable impact—driving a 5× lift in transactions, 4× revenue growth among engaged users, and making McDonald’s the most downloaded QSR app for four consecutive months.

 
 

Loyalty Integration
As part of McDonald’s broader push to accelerate digital acquisition and engagement, I led the design of the in-app loyalty experience—creating a seamless journey that showcased program benefits, drove adoption, and fostered long-term customer loyalty.

Outcomes:
- 5X lift in transactions
- 4X revenue for customers receiving communications
- 81,000 new app downloads from McDonalds.com loyalty pages
- 49% over paid registrations goal
- 96,000 digital customer growth over YoY target
- Most downloaded QSR app for four consecutive months.
